Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia––President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was joined by Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina A. Roque at the 2nd ASEAN–Gulf Cooperation Council Summit. The growing partnership between ASEAN and the Council offers promising opportunities for enhanced economic cooperation between Southeast Asia and the Gulf region.

Representing the Philippines' commercial and industrial interests, Secretary Cristina A. Roque highlighted the efforts in expanding market access for Filipino goods and services. She also spotlighted the significance of attracting vital investments into the country, and forging partnerships to enhance the competitiveness of Philippine industries within the ASEAN-GCC economic corridor.
