CEBU – Around eighteen (18) micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association, Inc. (REMAI) embarked on a learning visit and material sourcing for wearables and homestyle in Cebu on February 18-20, 2025.

This initiative aimed to enhance product quality, foster innovation, and expand market reach by connecting MSMEs with reliable suppliers, industry leaders, and creative enterprises in Cebu.

DTI Cebu, in collaboration with DTI Rizal, led the facilitation of a structured three-day itinerary designed to maximize learning opportunities and industry exposure for participants.

On the first day, the delegation visited OOMA Archive and Siyam Art Souvenirs at ATUA Midtown, a creative hub that highlights sustainable and culturally inspired designs by Cebu artisans and entrepreneurs. They also explored Anthill Fabric Store, a social enterprise dedicated to preserving local weaving traditions while promoting sustainable and circular design practices.

To further support business development, a Business-to-Business (B2B) matching session was conducted, providing MSMEs with the opportunity to connect with potential suppliers and buyers.

On the final day, participants had an exclusive tour of Interior Crafts of the Islands, Inc., owned by world-renowned designer Kenneth Cobonpue. The visit offered a deeper understanding of high-quality furniture craftsmanship, innovative design techniques, and sustainable material sourcing, capping off a highly immersive and insightful experience.
