Calamba City — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna and Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Laguna partnered to conduct a seminar entitled “Exploring the Business Aspects: How to Start a Business and Basic Bookkeeping” at Hotel Marciano, First PJM Compound, Brgy. Real, Calamba City, Laguna, on June 4, 2025.

It aims to provide a basic understanding of effectively setting up and managing business transactions. This seminar provided insight into the daily responsibilities of a business owner and the long-term goals of the entity. Additionally, it covered Business Name registration and Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE), as well as their benefits.

The participants are union officers from various companies across multiple industries in Laguna, with a total of 67 attendees. Equipping aspiring business owners is necessary to provide a solid foundation to reduce the risk of insolvency. Moreover, it gives a visualization of the needed information for effective decision-making and the organization of the business.
