
Alaminos, Laguna — On May 30, 2025, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) -Laguna showed its continued support for the Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative by actively participating in its second run held in front of the Alaminos Municipal Hall.
The event was a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture, in partnership with key national agencies including the DTI, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government, along with the local government unit of Alaminos, Laguna.
As part of its commitment to promoting local entrepreneurship and ensuring access to affordable basic goods, DTI-Laguna organized a Diskwento Caravan in collaboration with Puregold-Alaminos. The activity provided consumers with essential goods at discounted prices, aligning with the program’s goal of helping communities cope with inflation and economic challenges.



In addition, six micro-entrepreneurs supported by DTI-Laguna showcased their products in the trade fair. These included: 3-A Footwear, Eff Footwear, Lanie’s Footwear, Mywill Food Products, Gelocioso Food Products and Papa’s Bakery.
Collectively, the participating MSMEs recorded total sales amounting to ₱49,396.50, reflecting strong community support and interest in local products.
The event drew a diverse buyer, including municipal hall staff, local residents, and even tourists who were attracted by news of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo activity. Their presence helped highlight the growing reach and impact of the program in promoting economic inclusivity and grassroots enterprise. (MOCalongcalong, DTI-Laguna) ♦
