Bay, Laguna — On April 29, 2025, Ms. Avegail Dacanay Agojo, Mr. Jerome Del Mundo, and Mr. Syruz Reyes, Negosyo Center Business Counselors of Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna, go to Barangay Tranca, Bay, Laguna as guest speakers to a seminar/training session, spearheaded by CARD-MRI Bay.

The training aims to equip aspiring and new entrepreneurs with the knowledge to navigate the business licensing process, improve packaging strategies, and build stronger brands. Participants gain practical insights that enable them to enhance operational efficiency, build consumer trust, and ensure regulatory compliance, ultimately contributing to the long-term success and growth of their businesses. Through these continuous efforts, DTI Laguna and CMDI strive to support the growth of MSMEs and contribute to the broader economic development of the community.

During the event, various topics were discussed. The first topic on Consumer Education was tackled by Ms. Avegail Agojo of Negosyo Center Bay. The topic was discussed actively as the participants raised their questions based on their own experiences as a consumer, and Agojo gave them ideas and solutions on how to deal with the problems in case the same problem or cases arise. She also discussed Basic Packaging and Labelling, equipping participants basic knowledge on how right packaging elements will affect their product in the market, as well as its benefits in product’s safety. “Right packaging and labeling protects what it sell and sells what it protects”, Agojo stated.

Lastly, Mr. Syruz Reyes of Negosyo Center Cabuyao encouraged the participants who are already engaged in businesses, yet not registered, by discussing business registration and licensing, implying its importance on legalizing one’s business. “Kung hindi pa po kayo registered, i-register ‘nyo na, mas mabuting may hawak kayo na dokumento”, Reyes stated.

The event was joyed by 52 participants and the CARD-MRI is looking forward for more seminars/training with DTI-Laguna as part of it (SAReyes, DTI-Laguna). ♦
