The Philippine Quality Award, established through Republic Act 9013, is implemented by DTI to encourage and guide both public and private institutions in their quality transformation journey. It is the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance. Through the PQA Regionalization Program, DTI brings the award closer to regional stakeholders, offering training, mentoring, and assessment services designed to uplift organizational performance and competitiveness across the country.

The conferment ceremony gathered key leaders and stakeholders to celebrate NUVELCO’s accomplishment, which reflects not only operational excellence but also a deep commitment to public service and innovation.

In her message, RD Narag commended NUVELCO’s commitment to quality management and public service. “This award is not just a recognition—it is a celebration of a culture of excellence. NUVELCO’s commitment to institutionalizing quality systems shows that public-serving institutions can thrive and innovate. Your journey is a benchmark not only for electric cooperatives but also for other organizations striving to improve. You have made Region 2 proud.”

NUVELCO Board Chairperson Ersal Corpuz described the award as a symbol of the cooperative’s journey toward quality and innovation. “This is a significant milestone—one that reflects the hard work and dedication of every person behind NUVELCO. We are inspired to continue our commitment to excellence and to achieve greater heights in the years to come.”

NUVELCO General Manager Fredel Salvador echoed the pride and meaning of the moment, emphasizing the cooperative’s consistent performance and mission-driven leadership. “We are marking a very important milestone in our history. We will continue to challenge ourselves to bring out our best, to serve better, and to quest the uncharted road. Let us continue to love and support our cooperative.”
