Linapacan, Palawan – In an effort to support the thriving marine industry in Linapacan, Palawan, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- MIMAROPA, in collaboration with the local government unit, officially launched a Shared Service Facility and Negosyo Center in the 5th class municipality on 12 March 2025.

The PHP4 million project aims to increase the value of fishery commodities coming from Linapacan by improving product quality, competitiveness, supply reliability, and predictability, and uplift the lives of over 2,000 individuals and traders across eight barangays in the municipality.
The facility includes a blast freezer, brine immersion ice-making machine, chest-type freezer, workshop meat table, single chamber vacuum packaging machine, external chamber vacuum packaging machine, digital weighing scale with barcode printer, bone saw, food metal detector, 70L and 100L shipper box with cold chain panels, water treatment system, and a 5KW off-grid solar system.
This project is in line with the Department’s Strategic Area No. 4 on Improving Technology and Innovation, ensuring that communities have access to appropriate equipment, machinery, and tools.
Negosyo Center in Linapacan, located on the second floor of the municipal building, is the 65th center established by DTI MIMAROPA across the region. Under the Go Negosyo Act, the establishment of Negosyo Centers brings the government’s services such as business registration, business advisory, and business information closer to more individuals. ♦
