Following its launch in June 2024 during World Accreditation Day, the Philippine Accreditation Bureau’s (PAB) Online Accreditation System (PAB-OASys) is set to be rolled out and serve Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) applying for initial accreditation.
In preparation for this, on January 23, 28, and 30, 2025, the Management System Accreditation Division (MSAD) and the Laboratory Accreditation Division (LAD) of PAB conducted separate orientations on the PAB-OASys for their stakeholders, specifically targeting external assessors and technical experts.

During these sessions, participants were introduced to the platform’s user interface to familiarize themselves with its features. Assessors, Experts, the Accreditation Evaluation Panel, CABs, and PAB employees were able to create login credentials appropriate to their roles in the accreditation process.
This shift to an online accreditation system aligns with the Department’s initiative to provide digital access to its clients. The accreditation portal is expected to streamline and make the submission of accreditation applications to PAB more efficient. It is also envisioned that the system will include a digital payment option in line with the DTI Secretary’s directive to prioritize and launch digital payments.
Throughout the online sessions, PAB gathered various comments and suggestions, which will be utilized for future improvements to the system. PAB is hopeful to have the online accreditation portal up and running to serve its clientele within the year.
