Representing the Philippines was Ms. Michelle P. Esteban, Chief of PAB’s Laboratory Accreditation Division. Her attendance underscored the bureau’s active engagement as a full signatory to the APAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). By joining policy dialogues and technical sessions, PAB reaffirmed its commitment to mutual recognition, continuous improvement, and cross-border knowledge exchange within the accreditation community.

The 2025 Annual Meeting served as a strategic forum to address emerging challenges, including digital transformation, the adoption of risk-based assessment methodologies, and capacity building among Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). Insights gained by PAB during the discussions are poised to shape future national initiatives that enhance the reliability, effectiveness, and international recognition of Philippine-accredited services.

A noteworthy highlight was the recognition of member economies’ multimedia engagement strategies. Among these was a testimonial previously submitted by PAB, showcasing the role of accreditation in boosting the competitiveness of small businesses -- a campaign that continues to resonate across borders and inspire collaborative innovation.
