Toronto, Canada – The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Toronto continues to promote Filipino businesses in Canada through the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) SME Showroom, a dedicated space at the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Toronto that showcases Philippine products, stories, and brands to boost Philippine exports to Canada.
As part of this initiative, a special exhibit was held on July 29, featuring Jollibee, the beloved Filipino fast-food chain. The exhibit celebrated Jollibee’s journey in Canada, showcasing significant milestones, popular menu favorites, and exclusive merchandise. Products specially featured were Jollibee’s peach mango pie, ube pie, and pineapple juice as these products continue to be fully sourced from the Philippines.
“Jollibee has not only brought the well-loved ‘bee’ to global markets, but also the Filipino spirit of happiness, warmth, friendship, and excellence,” said Trade Commissioner Mario Tani at the event. The Trade Commissioner also advocated for more support for Philippine MSMEs by saying “Let us continue to champion more Filipino enterprises with the heart to serve and the wings to go global.”
Guests enjoyed a short program that highlighted Jollibee’s growth in Canada, followed by a fun promotional activity. The iconic Jollibee mascot also made a special appearance, spreading joy throughout the event.
The event was not only a vibrant display of Filipino flavors and culture but also a nostalgic tribute to a brand that has become a cherished part of many Filipinos’ lives, now shared with a broader Canadian audience.
The event was made possible through the joint efforts of PTIC-Toronto, and the PCG in Toronto highlighting the strong collaboration behind promoting Filipino brands and strengthening cultural and economic ties between the Philippines and Canada.
