The Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) trade and investment promotion office in Taiwan, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center–Taipei (PTIC-Taipei), led a high-level government and business delegation to COMPUTEX 2025 from 19-24 May 2025, as part of its Integrated Trade and Investment Campaign.
COMPUTEX 2025 is one of the world’s premier technology trade shows. The participation was jointly organized by PTIC-Taipei, the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), and Converge ICT Solutions Inc., with the participation of the Department of Energy (DOE).
The mission successfully advanced its objectives of showcasing Philippine innovation in digital infrastructure and deepening strategic trade and investment ties with Taiwan—particularly in the areas of information and communications technology, energy, and emerging technologies.
The delegation, composed of representatives from DTI, MECO, DOE, Converge ICT, and PTIC-Taipei, operated under a public-private collaboration framework, engaging with Taiwanese counterparts on key opportunities in data center development, industrial park investment, and digital infrastructure cooperation. Discussions focused on priority areas aligned with the Philippines’ digital economy agenda, including AI applications, broadband expansion, and green energy integration.
These developments underscore the Philippines’ expanding role as a strategic regional partner in innovation-driven and sustainable development, particularly in advancing digital infrastructure and industrial capabilities. ♦
