Dubai, United Arab Emirates—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Dubai (PTIC-Dubai), participated in the Global Filipino Career and Entrepreneurship Summit 2025, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek on 29 June 2025, to promote entrepreneurship and career development within the Filipino community in Dubai.
The Summit brought together Filipino professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs from across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a full-day program of keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
Organized by The Global Filipino Magazine and supported by the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Dubai, the event served as a platform for aspiring and established entrepreneurs to exchange insights, explore opportunities, and connect with potential mentors and partners. Discussions focused on startup development, brand building, navigating the UAE business landscape, and access to business support services.
In his keynote address, PTIC-Dubai Trade Commissioner Vichael Roaring introduced the mandate and initiatives of PTIC-Dubai and reaffirmed the Philippine government’s continued support for overseas Filipinos pursuing entrepreneurship and business expansion abroad. He also highlighted success stories of Filipino-led brands featured in international trade shows such as IFEX Philippines and invited the community to engage with key global platforms including Manila FAME, Gulfood, and INDEX Dubai, which showcase Philippine products and creative industries to international audiences.
Ultimately, this participation forms part of DTI’s ongoing efforts to promote Filipino entrepreneurship, strengthen overseas business networks, and encourage greater participation in global trade events.
