DTI refutes misleading posts by FLARE and SHFT; urges businesses to comply with PS License requirements

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) addresses misleading claims by FLARE and SHFT, with FLARE falsely claiming full compliance with regulations and with SHFT improperly sharing unauthorized photos of DTI staff. These actions misrepresent the DTI’s mandate and breach consumer protection laws under RA 7394 and Department Administrative Order No. 2 (2007).

Only the following brands with valid Philippine Standard (PS) Licenses are authorized to sell: DON BARS, KLIQ, ONE BAR, PHANTOM VAPE, RELX, TOMORO, TRUEZ, VAGEND, and X-VAPE.

The DTI urges vape businesses to secure and maintain valid PS Licenses to ensure that products meet safety and quality standards before being distributed. Non-compliance may result in penalties or suspension of trading. Report violations at DTI (1-384) or [email protected].

Consumers can also send an email to [email protected] for concerns and visit https://old-dti.beesites.net/osmv/ for additional vape-related information.
