
Nagcarlan, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) conducted a seminar on how to start a business, also discussing the Department’s programs and service with consumer education, last August 22, 2024 at the Covered Court of the Laguna Police Provincial Office located at Camp BGen Paciano Rizal, Bagumbayan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. This was attended by an approximately thirty-eight (38) PNP personnel and their families.
This event aims to boost morale and create an empowered police force as it serves as a platform for delivering essential services to PNP personnel and their dependents. More so, this aims to ensure their holistic well-being and readiness to fulfill their duties and provides opportunities for their personal development and skills enhancement.


The event was hosted by Ms. Cristine Joy S. Roces and Mr. John Kali O Calatin of PNP Laguna Provincial Office. It started with preliminaries including the invocation and national anthem. PLTCOL Arnel L. Pagulayan DPDO delivered the opening remarks which was followed by recognition of guests and participants, then continued the event by introducing the set of speakers.
DTI staff discussed tips on how to start a business, including the different programs and services that they may avail at DTI, and consumer education and awareness. Presenting these topics aimed to provide the participants with knowledge that will help capacitate them with the basics of entrepreneurial development.
Based from gathered reactions, the seminar received positive comments from the participants, and they expressed their satisfaction with the learning activity. All of the participants who answered the Client Satisfaction Form graded it passed. Overall, the seminar was commended by the potential MSMEs, and they expressed their interests to join the future seminars, mentoring and coaching sessions of DTI-Laguna (MFCaymo, DTI-Laguna). ♦
