In line with the goal of becoming Asia’s emerging hub for healthcare innovation and strategic partnerships, the Philippines joined BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025, one of the largest biotech conferences in Asia, which runs from July 23 to 29 in Taipei.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which spearheads the delegation, said the country’s participation is a key part of a broader strategy to leverage the country’s skilled talent and growing digital infrastructure to attract high-value foreign investment.

A contingent of top-tier institutions and innovative companies is on the ground to showcase the country’s value proposition in health services, digital health, clinical research, and biotechnology. The delegation includes De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, Harvest Integrated Research Organization, Medcheck, Quanby Solutions Inc., and The Medical City.   

The companies are scheduled to participate in business-to-business meetings and networking activities to explore collaborations in research, outsourcing, distribution, and investment.

The Philippine participation in BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 is organized by the DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Taipei, in collaboration with the Philippine Exporters’ Confederation, Inc,. and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office.
