PTIC-Toronto and PCG in Calgary organized an online speed networking session to introduce Canadian and Alberta-based companies to the growing trade and investment opportunities in the Philippines and the ASEAN region.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Centre (PTIC) in Toronto, in close collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary, organized the first PH-Canada Business Conference & Calgary Stampede Networking event held on 08 July 2025.

The event featured a business conference and online speed networking session that introduced Canadian and Alberta-based companies to emerging trade and investment opportunities in the Philippines and the ASEAN region.

The networking session focused on priority sectors such as agri-business and infrastructure, clean technology and green energy, as well as information technology and digital services. The networking session offered a valuable platform for Canadian companies from the 2024 Team Canada Trade Mission (TCTM) to engage directly and in real time with businesses affiliated with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in the Philippines.

The event is an outcome of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between PCCI and Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) facilitated by PTIC-Toronto in April 2025.

As the official trade and investment promotion office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Canada, PTIC-Toronto continues to support events that aim to advance initiatives that enhance and strengthen trade and investment ties between Canada and the Philippines.
