Philippine MSMEs joined the region-wide celebration of the ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD) 2025, which concluded on August 10 after three days of vibrant cross-border e-commerce and digital collaboration among the ASEAN Member States.

Held annually from August 8 to 10, AOSD is the ASEAN’s flagship digital shopping event, offering consumers across the region curated deals, secure platforms, and access to products from across ASEAN—all through a streamlined digital experience. Now in its sixth year, the event continues to promote greater digital connectivity, supporting the seamless exchange of goods, services, and ideas across the ASEAN region.

This year’s theme, “A Click to Prosperity,” underscored the growing role of digital trade in driving inclusive economic development and MSME participation. Through initiatives like AOSD, ASEAN empowers entrepreneurs and online marketplaces to reach wider audiences and showcase their creativity and innovation beyond borders.

The Philippines joined the celebration through a dedicated microsite (www.dti.gov.ph/aseansale), featuring 32 Filipino brands and sellers offering a wide array of locally made products—from fashion and artisanal food items to eco-friendly goods and home essentials.

Consumers from across the region were invited to explore:

  • A curated collection of premium ASEAN products
  • Cross-border deals and country-specific offerings
  • Seamless, app-free, and secured checkout experiences
  • Opportunities to support local MSMEs and regional creators

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in collaboration with other ASEAN Member States and participating e-commerce platforms, led the initiative.

As the digital economy continues to evolve, events like AOSD play a key role in building a more connected, inclusive, and resilient ASEAN community.
