The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Bureau of Market Development Promotions and OTOP, and with support from the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Office, held the 2025 National Trade Fair (NTF) on 23–27 July 2025 at SM Megamall. The five-day event reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the development of micro, small and medium enterprises with a strong focus on sustainability and digital transformation.
Featuring over 300 exhibitors nationwide, the NTF highlighted locally made products crafted from indigenous and eco-friendly materials. The fair also served as a platform to promote e-commerce and digital readiness among MSMEs.
The DTI E-Commerce Bureau (ECB), in partnership with GCash, GOGO Xpress (QuadX), Globe Telecom, foodpanda, Lalamove, Lazada, Pick.A.Roo, UnionBank, Maya, PLDT Enterprise, Smart Communications, and Zalora, led a series of onboarding activities and information sessions. MSMEs gained insights into topics such as digital payments, online selling, broadband connectivity, logistics and cybersecurity—a push toward digital adoption that is strongly supported at the highest levels of government. As part of its digitalization efforts, the DTI ECB also recently launched the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark (Trustmark), a digital badge granted to online businesses that comply with good e-commerce practices, consumer protection rules, and applicable standards as provided in various trade and industry laws. Valid for one year, the Trustmark aims to support the institutionalization of trust, integrity and accountability in the digital economy, which aligns completely with the administration’s digitalization agenda. Businesses may apply at https://trustmark.dti.gov.ph.
The 2025 NTF highlighted how public-private collaboration can empower MSMEs to grow through sustainable practices and digital innovation, advancing the vision of a more inclusive and future-ready economy. By combining access to markets, tools, finance and connectivity, the NTF enabled local enterprises to take confident steps into the digital future while reinforcing the broader goal of inclusive and innovation-led growth for the Philippine economy. ♦
