In celebration of the MSME Week 2025, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office successfully conducted a capacity-building webinar titled “Financial Literacy and Funding Access: Building Stronger Enterprise” on July 9, 2025. The online event aimed to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with vital financial management skills and raise awareness of various government loan programs and funding opportunities.
The activity was made possible through the joint efforts of the Negosyo Centers in Pagsanjan, Pangil, Pila, Alaminos, and Victoria, reflecting the spirit of collaboration in fostering a more inclusive and resilient local business environment.
Attended by MSME owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and local stakeholders, the webinar featured discussions on basic financial literacy, smart budgeting, credit management, and how to access government loan facilities such as those offered by Small Business Corporation, Land Bank of the Philippines, and other financing institutions.

“This activity reminds us of a central role of MSMEs — as we strive for a Bagong Pilipinas — we must ensure that our MSMEs are equipped with the right tools, knowledge and support,” said DTI-Laguna Provincial Director Christian Ted O. Tungohan. He added, “may this session empower you to take the next big step in your journey with greater confidence, clarity and purpose”.
The webinar forms part of DTI’s broader efforts under MSME Development Week to provide accessible, impactful, and practical learning opportunities to local entrepreneurs, helping them scale up and recover in the evolving business landscape (MJMElona, DTI-Laguna). ♦
