The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), reminds the public to be vigilant and discerning when joining raffle, draws, or other promotional activities conducted in brick-and-mortar stores or online platforms.

Gambling activities, including online betting and similar schemes, do not fall under the jurisdiction of the DTI. However, specific to sales promotion activities, consumers are strongly encouraged to verify the authenticity of the DTI Promotion Permit through the iRegis website:

1. Go to the DTI iRegis website: iregis.dti.gov.ph
2. Click “Search” and select “Sales Promotion Permit”
3. Enter the permit and series numbers
4. Complete the captcha verification and click “Search”

The absence of such or mismatch of the details may indicate an unauthorized or potentially deceptive and/or misleading activity. ♦
