Liliw, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office actively participated in the first-ever Kadiwa ng Pangulo in Liliw, Laguna, held on June 13, 2025, at the Liliw Town Plaza. The event was headed by the Department of Agriculture, with DTI as one of the key partner agencies.
The initiative aimed to offer affordable and accessible local products while providing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmers, and producers a valuable opportunity to reach a wider market. Sellers from various towns across Laguna gathered to promote gawang Laguna, gawang Pilipino products, showcasing the province’s rich local craftsmanship and quality goods.
Ingress began at 6:00 AM, allowing vendors ample time to prepare their stalls. Selling officially started at 7:00 AM onwards, attracting a steady stream of residents, tourists, and supporters who came to shop, explore, and support local entrepreneurs.
DTI Laguna brought together selected MSMEs from across the province, offering a variety of products including native delicacies, locally made footwear, pastries, and other proudly Laguna-made items. The event served as a platform for these businesses to introduce their products, connect with new customers, and boost their sales.

Aside from DTI Laguna, the Department of Agriculture CALABARZON, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Labor and Employment, and the Local Government Unit of Liliw also brought sellers and participants from their respective supported groups. This collaboration further enriched the variety of products available and extended greater support to farmers, small businesses, and local producers.
Kadiwa ng Pangulo is one of the government’s flagship programs to support local producers, reduce layers of middlemen, and bring affordable goods closer to communities. Through this program, the government also aims to create livelihood opportunities, increase the income of small farmers and entrepreneurs, and encourage consumers to support local industries.
The successful conduct of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo in Liliw highlighted the strong partnership among national agencies, local government units, and community stakeholders in strengthening the local economy and promoting proudly Filipino-made products. (TMMSulte, DTI-Laguna) ♦
