The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Washington D.C. (PTIC-WDC), arranged NutriAsia’s courtesy meeting with Philippine Ambassador to the U.S., Amb. Jose Manuel G. Romualdez, on 14 May 2025 at the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. This engagement highlights NutriAsia’s ongoing efforts to expand its exports to the U.S. market, further showcasing Filipino flavors on a global scale.
NutriAsia’s delegation included President and COO Angie Flaminiano, New Business Development and International Business Head Mario Mendoza, and Sr. International Business Manager Richard Rebollido.
PTIC-WDC Commercial Counselor Kenneth Yap expressed optimism about NutriAsia’s growth, stating, “NutriAsia has a growing presence here in the U.S., and we are very happy to see our proudly Pinoy products, like Mang Tomas All-Around Sarsa and UFC Banana Sauce, winning over more consumers in this diverse market. We look forward to working with the NutriAsia team to bring more of our rich cultural heritage to U.S. consumers.”
Ambassador Romualdez echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of Filipino businesses strengthening their presence abroad. “The Embassy stands ready to support efforts to explore more partnership opportunities that will introduce unique Filipino flavors to a wider audience and larger market,” he affirmed.
As the leading producer of condiments in the Philippines, NutriAsia continues to showcase its iconic brands—including Datu Puti, UFC, Mang Tomas, and Silver Swan—to a growing international consumer base.
In the meeting with NutriAsia executives during their visit to Washington DC, DTI reinforced its commitment to empowering Filipino enterprises with their global expansion, ensuring Philippine products gain wider recognition and stronger market positioning.
