
Pililla, Rizal | The Pililla Business Conference, held on February 21, 2025, brought together key government agencies, business owners, and entrepreneurs to discuss essential topics impacting businesses in the region.
The event featured presentations from three resource speakers: representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Negosyo Center Pililla and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Pililla Chapter were also invited to set up booth to address concerns within their jurisdiction.
DOLE gave a presentation on employee welfare initiatives and labor laws. The speaker emphasized the necessity of compliance with labor regulations, including wage standards, worker benefits, and occupational health and safety. Additionally, participants received updates on the most recent changes to employment legislation and how companies can guarantee that they comply with legal requirements while maintaining a productive and law-abiding workforce.
Updates on the most recent tax laws and important information on tax compliance were given during the BIR session. The speaker gave helpful tips on how companies can simplify their tax returns, steer clear of typical mistakes, and comprehend how new tax regulations would affect their day-to-day operations. Important topics included comprehending the tax benefits offered to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), the significance of keeping accurate records, and appropriate tax reporting.
The SEC discussed the importance of corporate governance, business registration, and the regulatory requirements for establishing and growing a company. The speaker emphasized the role of the SEC in ensuring transparency and accountability in business operations and provided guidance on corporate structures, compliance with the Securities Regulation Code, and investor protection measures.

More than 200 business owners attended this activity. Participants expressed their appreciation for the wealth of information shared by the government agencies and the chance to build new business connections.
