The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Rizal joined the 2025 Baras Business Summit organized by the local government unit of Baras on January 22, 2025 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Brgy. Santiago, Baras, Rizal. DTI-Rizal team led by Business Development Division Chief Sharon F. Dioco, together with OTOP NG Support Staff Famela Denise R. Mata, and Business Counselors Cristine Joy Padayao and Adelfa Canonigo were invited to share the agency’s programs and services.

The program was graced by Municipal Counselor Hon. Vergil F. Robles, who said, “Layunin po ng programang ito na mapagtibay ang samahan ng bayan ng Baras at business sector. Tunay po na pinasasalamatan namin kayo sa inyong malaking ambag kung bakit ang bayan ng Baras, mula sa dating fourth class, ngayon po ay isa nang ganap na first class municipality.”

Other agency and private institutions present in the event includes Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), MERALCO, Bayad, and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Rizal. With the theme “Catalyst of Tomorrow: Driving Innovation, Sustainability, and Economic Empowerment”, the event emphasized the importance of adhering to business regulations.

The event brought together local business owners from various industries and highlighted the local government’s dedication to empowering businesses while reinforcing its partnership with the business sector. The event also featured the presentation of awards and recognitions to the Top 10 Early Taxpayers and Top 10 Business Taxpayers of the municipality of Baras.

The program concluded with a message from the Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Kathrine Robles, who said, “Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtitiwala sa mga opisyal at local na pamahalaan. Asahan po ninyo na aming pagbubutihin at pagyayamanin ang mga nasimulan para sa ikabubuti ng bayan ng Baras.” The program ended at 3:30 in the afternoon. ♦
